Capital Regional Cancer Center participates in the clinical trials of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG). These protocols are testing new and innovative ways to treat cancer and are carried out under the auspices of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Not all patients are eligible for clinical trials, but patients who do enroll often have access to treatments that are not yet available to other cancer patients. Participation also advances our knowledge about the treatment of cancer and helps future cancer patients receive better care.
